S3E7 – Super Guilt Bros. Beat-Off

This week we’re covering season 3, episode 7 of Spider-Man: The Animated Series – ‘The Man Without Fear’.

Things aren’t going to well for Peter. He’s still a fugitive with the FBI on his tail, Big Bad Aunt Anna is forming the civilian sinister six with Dr. Jerk, and ol’ Willy Fisk is powering up his dad armour for a throwdown. Luckily for the wallcrawler, he’s got the OG King DeDe on his side: Matt Murdock aka Daredevil.

Will the Super Guilt Bros survive to beat off for another day, or will the man without fear go the way of Poochie?

BIG WHEEL’s Comic Origins

We recently talked about The Big Wheel in our latest episode of Weird Lore Bullshit Corner, a podcast where we talk about Spider-Man’s weirdest dealings. You can find that here, or check out his origins below:

Jackson Weele, later to become BIG WHEEL, first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #182 in 1978, written by Marv Wolfman and with art by Ross Andru (you’ll notice I left this out of Rocket Racer’s origins last time).

Weird Lore BS Corner #9: BIG WHEEL

It’s finally here, the reason we started Weird Lore BS in the first place: Jackson Weele aka The Big Wheel.

He’s a guy… in a big wheel… he wheels around. Not too much happening on the powerset front, but this dude has all kinds of crazy (mostly dumb crazy) to talk about.

The Green Goblin’s Comic Origins

In our most recent episode of the podcast we discussed the Green Goblins first appearance in Spider-Man: The Animated Series (which you can find here). But what about his first appearance in the original ’60s Stan Lee comics?

Well, it’s a little stranger than you may expect, starting off with a flying broomstick and an encounter with The Hulk in the Californian Desert. No Joke.
