X-Men: First Class retrospective #JusticeForDarwin

Oh thank God. A not-terrible X-Men movie, for what feels like the first time in a while.  X-Men: First Class isn’t exactly top tier X-Men but it’s quite good, and it’s by far the gayest of the X-Men Universe. 

Henry and Jack discuss Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy’s capable performances, Jennifer Lawrence’s brief rise before her rapid descent into apathy, and the questionable timeline of Alex Summers, Scott Summers’…. brother? Father? It’s really not clear.

S3E8 – OnlyFISK: I Love My Big Curvy Kingpin

This week we’re covering season 3, episode 8 of Spider-Man: The Animated Series – ‘Ultimate Slayer’.

This episode is a riot. We argue over Landon’s monster foot, Alistair’s ripped slayer bod, and whether Kingpin is a galaxy brain genius or merely a divorced dude with an OnlyFans and a David Byrne obsession. Meanwhile, the grief mullet evolves into a drifting revengebot, Chad Peter competes with the Virgin Eggborn and we make some jokes that have never been said before by anyone ever, honestly.

Jack can’t remember anything from this episode, but he does remember Alistair Smythe’s convoluted comic book history as we take a look back at his comics origins.

S3E7 – Super Guilt Bros. Beat-Off

This week we’re covering season 3, episode 7 of Spider-Man: The Animated Series – ‘The Man Without Fear’.

Things aren’t going to well for Peter. He’s still a fugitive with the FBI on his tail, Big Bad Aunt Anna is forming the civilian sinister six with Dr. Jerk, and ol’ Willy Fisk is powering up his dad armour for a throwdown. Luckily for the wallcrawler, he’s got the OG King DeDe on his side: Matt Murdock aka Daredevil.

Will the Super Guilt Bros survive to beat off for another day, or will the man without fear go the way of Poochie?
